Book description optimization and ready-to-use template

I’ve been doing some marketing research and A/B split tested ads, and I think I have found a pretty optimized template.

1) Slug line/hook drawing the reader in. Aim for 5 words or less, big and bold. The rest of the page should have lots of white space instead of big lumps of text.

2) A series of other small hooks drawing the reader in.

3) A short description of the product. SEO counts – try to fit in related keywords that people might be searching for.

4) A highlight of your favorite positive reviews.

5) A call to action. Directly tell people to read now, or buy now, or find out now, etc. I’m currently using this space to try and make the sale by saying things to boost my credibility. (I’m still testing things here, not sure this is best).

6) A list of other publications helps make my other books also show up when someone searches for any one of my books.

7) I doubt anyone will be reading this far. I make up a pretense to stuff in more long tail keywords.
